Aggregate power of solar and wind power plants will exceed 1000 MW. During 2012 scheduled to commission at least 100 MW of solar sources and more than 600 MW wind power plants.

Installed capacity of solar energy will mainly supported by Activ Solar projects in Odessa region and continuation of capacity building in Crimea. Residential solar will add 1-3 MW.

Activ Solar confirmed plans for further development solar power plants in Ukraine.

"Activ Solar in 2011 has successfully implemented a number of projects for the construction of solar power plants in Ukraine with a total installed capacity of 185 MW. Company plans to continue further development and construction of solar parks in Ukraine. Proof of this is that the Activ Solar opened a new office in Odessa. There is a good level of solar activity in this region and a favorable geographical position, therefore, the Odessa region is promising for the construction of photovoltaic plants", - said the CEO of Activ Solar, Dr. Johann Harter.

In 2012 construction of wind power plants will significant exceed solar. At the end of 2011 total capacity of wind energy was 151 MW. In this year three wind farm project plan to be commissioned, and projects started last year also possible to be completed. Total capacity of wind energy by the end of 2012 can exceed 75 MW.

20 MW will come from "Novoazovskiy" wind park LLC "Wind parks of Ukraine". 100 MW will be commissioned by the same company at wind farm "Ochakovsky".

Another 280 MW will completed by Concord Group in projects "Kazantipskaya" wind farm (100 MW) and "Sivashskaya" wind farm (180 MW).

Successful implementation of these projects depends largely on the ability to attract foreign investors in the Ukrainian sector of wind energy.

Projected growth figures power of wind and solar power can change dramatically. There are 25-30 companies that work closely on the European market, and they are looking for new markets. Ukraine is very attractive for them.
