In Kazakhstan 7 of 10 recruits are declared unfit for military service, stated the chairman of the Sports Agency Erlan Kozhagapanov at the Governmental Hour in the Majilis.
Chairman of the Agency noted that the reduction of hours devoted to physical education in school, it is up to 2 lessons per week, had a negative impact on the level of their health and fitness.
"It is not surprising that every year we observe reduced number of students who successfully take the presidential standards tests for physical training. In 2012, out of 613,000 students who took part in the presidential tests only 3.5 percent successfully passed them, for "good" it is just over 10 percent, and the rest did not pass them at all", said Mr. Kozhagapanov.
