In the period from 11 to 17 July 2016, national team of Kazakhstan took part in the 47th International Olympiad (Tsyurih, Switzerland). 418 students from 88 countries participated in the Olympiad. According to the results of Olympiad the national team of Kazakhstan in physics won 3 silver 2 bronze medals, ranking 19th in the world and among the top twenty:

Adlet Uvaliyev – 10 class student of Kazakh-Turkish lyceum for gifted youth, Semey city, a silver medal;

Aivar Abrashuly – 10 class student of Kazakh-Turkish lyceum for talented youth, Taraz city, silver medal;

Anton Sedleckiy – 11 class student of school lyceum #8, Pavlodar city, silver medal;

Nursultan Pansat – 11 class of Kazakh-Turkish lyceum for talented youth, Shymkent city, bronze medal;

Adilkhan Sarsen – 11 class student of Kazakh-Turkish lyceum for gifted youth, Uralsk city, bronze medal.
