Kazakh scientists got acquainted with the Oxford Journals publications.

JSC "National Center for Scientific and Technical Information" is holding jointly seminar with the publisher Oxford University Press.

This event is still lasting. Today, JSC "NC STI" do a lot of work for expanding scientific cooperation of Kazakhstan. In particular, one of the main work is to provide accessibility to the international scientific databases for national scientists.

At the seminar, organized by the center, scientists of universities are participating and listening to the lectures of qualified specialists on rational usage of Oxford Journals scientific databases of Oxford University, which is a leading academic institution in the UK. It should be noted that this event it is realized within the framework of the agreement between JSC “NC STI” and Oxford University Press. Today the Oxford University Press is a large database that collects basic scientific works of the great scientists of the world. Today there are branches of the Oxford University Press in sixty countries around the world. So we can conclude about the importance of this publishing house in the world of science.

It is known that the Oxford Journals publishes research works of scientists continuously since 1907. Therefore, publishing activity of the Oxford Journals has a great authority in the world scientific community. Therefore, we believe that the establishing strong partnership of the “JSC “NC STI” with the famous publishing house which attracts the attention of our scienbtists to scientists worldwide is of matter of great importance.

During the seminar, a special manager of the Oxford University Press for CIS and Russia Martin Dembowski explained in details by internet to Kazakhstani scientists about using of publishing products of Oxford University Press Journals. Specially arrived from Moscow Head of the department on using of electronic resources "KONEK" Elena Eronina and shared her views about the scientific database ProQuest.
