The paper examines impact of national culture on creative idea sourcing and innovation development models. Based on extensive literature review, a few hypotheses are proposed for future research directions.

Реферат: Training and development activities in Bangladesh have yet to be systematic and able to fulfill the needs of the economy and industry. The national educational and training system failed to provide adequate knowledge and skills to the workforce. However, private sector organizations are undertaking different initiatives to cope with the industry skill requirements and are trying to develop their own employees. Recent government initiatives seem to be encouraging for future training and development activities in Bangladesh.
The dynamics of margin borrowing, holding period and NASDAQ index: lessons from the 1990\'s
Реферат: The paper explore long run equilibrium relation among the series: borrowing on margin to finance investment in equity market (margin borrowing), period of time over which stocks are held by the investors (holding period), and the NASDAQ index for the US within a dynamic setting. The statistical methodology of co-integration is applied to the monthly data for 1983.01-2003.04 to examine the relation. Our findings suggest that the long-run causality flow from NASDAQ index to margin borrowing which is positive and that to the holding period is negative. Also, the relationship between margin borrowing and holding period is negative and but bidirectional. Furthermore, tests confirm short-run interactive feedback relationships among these series with the expected signs. The results are intuitive and consistent with investor behavior--maximize investment income using available opportunities.
The Perception of Computer Security Focused on Familiarity of Rootkits between Korea and Kazakhstan
Реферат: This study is designed with an eye toward possible solutions for potential threats from Rootkits and more traditional malware. The survey data were collected from 371 students of five Korea and three Kazakhstan universities to compare their knowledge and experience with various forms of malware. These comparisons reveal that little is known about rootkits today. However, this study can bring awareness of Rootkits and promote to seek for possible solutions for Rootkits and other malwares attacks.

The Long Tail or the Short Tail? The Category-Specific Impact of eWOM on Sales Distribution
Реферат: This paper investigates the impact of electronic word of mouth (eWOM) on sales distribution and challenges the conventional wisdom of the long tail theory. As customers refer to eWOM to evaluate products, and each product type entails a different scheme of evaluation standards, the impact of eWOM may differ by product type. Thus, we propose a new type of product categorization based on evaluation standard objectivity and hypothesize that this categorization gradually differentiates sales distribution patterns, some of which refute the long tail phenomenon. To validate the hypothesis, we collect data from Amazon.com, compare the distribution of eWOM among various product types, and conduct the Wilcoxon signed rank test for statistical significance. All the test results show adequate levels of significance; thus, the three hypotheses are supported. This study sheds new light on eWOM research by developing a new approach to product categorization and by proposing a different use of eWOM in searching for products to explain the different effects of eWOM on sales distribution.
How eWOM Reduces Uncertainties in Decision-making Process Using the Concept of Entropy in Information Theory
Реферат: The present study examines the impact of eWOM on consumer decision making process by viewing eWOM as the product information supplier. We employ the concept of information entropy which was proposed in the information theory to explain different consumer responses to various types of product information in eWOM. Information entropy is the degree of uncertainty associated with the information in the message. In eWOM, a variety of information with different levels of entropy is available, and these different entropy levels result in different impacts on consumer behavior. The preliminary hypotheses are formulated to examine the impact of eWOM on consumer behavior, at the product attribute level and the purchase action level separately. An experiment was conducted to online shopping mall users and the analysis gives valuable insights into our future research.
