Реферат: Данная статья рассматривает воззрения русского юриста-международника Л.А. Камаровского относительно объединения государств Европы и всего мира и мирного решения всех межгосударственных споров на основе международного права. Проанализировав целый ряд произведений Камаровского, автор приходит к выводу, что его учение об эффективной международной организации имеет непреходящее значение для науки международного права, так как будущее всей земной цивилизации принадлежит объединению усилий всех государств мира в целях поддержания международного мира и безопасности и решения сложных и многочисленных глобальных проблем.
Идея \"Соединенных Штатов Европы\" в политико-правовых взглядах В.И. Ленина и Л.Д. Троцкого
Реферат: В данной статье проводится сравнительный анализ политических и правовых воззрений В.И. Ленина и Л.Д. Троцкого относительно идеи построения \"Соединенных Штатов Европы\". Статья освещает развитие данной идеи в трудах обоих лидеров международного коммунистического движения и раскрывает причины разногласий между ними относительно путей развития социалистической революции и объединения всех государств Европы (и мира) в единую организацию. В частности автор излагает причину критического отношения В.И. Ленина к данной идее, а также объясняет позицию Л.Д. Троцкого, бывшего активным сторонником воплощения идеи Соединенных Штатов Европы.

Реферат: Данная статья приурочена 25-летию принятия Единого Европейского Акта, одного из наиболее важных правовых документов в истории Европейской интеграции. Автор излагает предысторию принятия ЕЕА, проводит анализ причин его принятия, раскрывает его значение и приходит к выводу, что данный акт существенно способствовал дальнейшей эволюции Европейской интеграции.
The asymmetric cyclical effects of bank capital on bank lending: evidences from six CIS countries
Реферат: This paper investigates the cyclical effects of bank capital on bank lending growth during the period between July 2005 and September 2010 for the banking industries in six CIS countries including Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. We find that the bank capital has significant pro-cyclical effect (negative relationship) on lending only during economic downturn while no meaningful effect during economic upturn.
The Pro-cyclical Effects of Bank Capital on Bank Lending: A Case of Kazakhstan
Реферат: Pro-cyclical effects of bank capital on bank lending growth during the period between August 2007 and August 2010 for Kazakhstan banking industry are investigated. A total of 30 banks\' monthly observations are analyzed in a panel study framework. We find that the change of capital-asset ratio has significant negative impacts on the change in the growth of bank lending, exacerbating the credit squeeze that started in the second half of 2007 in Kazakhstan. The enhanced regulatory capital requirement and/or bank\'s accumulation of additional capital buffer due to increased concern about credit risk might have exerted an impetus to reduce loan growth during this liquidity squeeze period. Other sources of bank funds such as deposit and borrowing as well as the change in interest margin and provision amount, however, did not play significant roles in lending growth. Overall, the results are consistent with the recent concerns raised about the enhanced risk-sensitivity in the Basel II capital requirements which may exacerbate potential pro-cyclical behavior.
On Pak Rupee Exchange Rates: Whether Stock of Flow Matters?
Реферат: This paper examines whether the monetary model or the flow model of exchange rate explains the long-run movements in Pak rupee exchange rates vis-a-vis the four major currencies - the US dollar, British pound, Swiss franc and Japanese yen - over the period 1983q1-2009q4. Results obtained by employing the Johansen and Juselius (1990) technique of co-integration are supportive of the monetary model in two Pak rupee exchange rates vis-a-vis the US dollar and the Swiss franc when both short- and long-run interest rates are used and of the flow model in three exchange rates vis-a-vis the British pound, Swiss franc and Japanese yen when the short-run interest rate is used. These results show that both stock equilibrium in capital markets and flow equilibrium in foreign exchange markets determine Pak rupee exchange rates.
How to identify targets in the M&A banking operations? Case of cross-border strategies in Europe by line of activity
Реферат: During the last decades, the European banking system has known some deep changes. They have led to mergers and acquisitions (M&As). The available studies show that the failure rate of theses M&As is relatively high. Cross-border operations are more exposed to this risk. The high failure rate is due to the cultural and contextual differences between the M&A participants, differences which make the process of integration particularly difficult. Thus, the success of M&As depends on the choice of adequate M&A targets. This choice constitutes the main challenge for company leadership. The aim of this paper is therefore to determine the factors which permit to identify the M&A targets. Our contribution compared to that of previous research is that we study M&As and the identification of targets by line of bank activities. On the basis of a sample made up of 1071 European banks, between 2000 and 2006, we use a Logit Multinomial Model. Our main results show that the target banks tend to be specialized in investment and market activities while the acquiring banks tend to approach themselves to the universal bank model.

Реферат: The objective of this research is to examine the mediating effect of user\'s involvement and user\'s cognition in the relation between user\'s participation during the development of the crisis management information systems and the success of these applications. Based on a sample of 50 users of 32 computerised applications, empirical findings show that increasing users\' participation during the development of crisis management information systems affect their perceptions of the development process\'s fairness which improve the use of these systems and enhance users\' satisfaction.
