Реферат: На основе результатов обработки данных вертикального зондирования ионосферы в Алма-Ате за 2000-2009 гг. получены распределения высот максимума (hmF) и основания (hbotF) слоя F2, приращения его полутолщины, характеристического времени потерь и вертикальной скорости перемещения узла термосферного ветра (V) в переходное время суток при ночном повышении электронной концентрации в максимуме слоя. Проведено сравнение измеренных V и модельных Vm скоростей, показавшее их некоторое расхождение. Рассмотрена роль высотного градиента скорости меридионального термосферного ветра в поведении hmF, hbotF при ночном повышении электронной концентрации.

Реферат: The seasonal dependence of the probability of large-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances is analyzed based on nighttime ionospheric parameters measured over Almaty during 2000-2007, as well as the dependence of annual average probabilities of their occurrence on the sunspot cycle. The behavior of these probabilities is compared with magnetic activity.

Реферат: By processing the data of vertical ionospheric sensing in Almaty for 2000-2009, we obtained the distributions of the heights of the maximum (hmF) and base (hbotF) of the F2_layer, incremental changes in its semithickness (бh), the characteristic time of losses (t), and the vertical displacement velocity of the node of the thermospheric wind (V) during the transitional time of the day during nighttime increases in the electron concentration at the layer maximum. The comparison of the measured V and modeled Vm velocities showed a certain discrepancy. The influence of the altitude gradient of the meridional thermospheric wind velocity on the behaviors of hmF, hbotF, бh, and t during nighttime increases in the electron concentration is studied.
Geomagnetic storm effects in the ionospheric E- and F-regions

Реферат: Ground-based ionosonde data obtained at Alma-Ata station [j.43.251N, l.76.921E, F.33.471N, L.1.44) were analysed to study the ionospheric responses of nine intense (KpZ8, Dsto_100 nT) geomagnetic storms with storm sudden commencement (ssc). The collected data show that the ionospheric responses to the geomagnetic storms are highly complex and variable; however, negative ionospheric disturbances are a common feature of the responses. The occurrence of normal night E2-, E-, F1- and auroral type r (retardation) sporadic Es-layers, which are unusual for Alma-Ata, was observed during most active phase in the Dst index. Employing the International Reference Ionosphere (IRI), the night-time E region electron density Ne was estimated for \'\'quiet\'\' conditions on the epochs of the storm time periods. A direct comparison of the \'\'quiet\'\' and \'\'storm\'\' electron density in the 110-200 km altitude range shows a significant storm-induced increase in Ne that reaches a factor of approximately 10 at the 110 km altitude. The interaction of precipitating energetic neutralised ring current particles with the upper atmosphere during geomagnetic disturbances is assumed to be a possible explanation for the observed night events at this latitude sector.

Реферат: We present here the results of gamma-ray emission intensity measurements made during thunderstorm. The gamma-ray intensity background (GRB) grows up in an order of magnitude in the active phase of a storm. This growth is shown to be directly connected with the growth of the thundercloud electric field. Besides, the fast changes of GRB (GRB-jumps) are revealed. GRB-jumps are shown to be determined by atmospheric discharges exactly, what mean the strong direct influence of the electric field in atmosphere on gamma-ray emission.

Реферат: A high-time resolution Neutron Monitor Database (NMDB) has started to be realized in the frame of the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission. This database will include cosmic ray data from at least 18 neutron monitors distributed around the world and operated in real-time. The implementation of the NMDB will provide the opportunity for several research applications most of which will be realized in real-time mode. An important one will be the establishment of an Alert signal when dangerous solar cosmic ray particles are heading to the Earth, resulting into ground level enhancements effects registered by neutron monitors. Therefore, NMDB will also stand as an informative gate on space research through neutron monitor\'s data usage.

Реферат: Исследуются вариации космических лучей по данным Тянь-Шаньского нейтронного монитора. В качестве модулирующего фактора рассматривается приземное электрическое поле во время снегопада, дождя, грозовой активности. Установлено, что его воздействие на данные монитора проявляется при значениях более 15-20 кВ м-1, которые наблюдаются в грозовой атмосфере. Отклик достигает 1.5% для регистрируемых частиц с энергией ниже 10 ГэВ.
Effect of Variations in the Earth\'s Electrical Field Caused by Weather Conditions on Neutron Monitoring

Реферат: Variations in cosmic rays are investigated on the basis of the Tien Shan neutron monitor data. The Earth\'s electrical field during snowfall, rain, and thunderstorm activity is considered as a modulating factor. It is established that the effect of the electrical field on the monitor data becomes apparent at values exceeding 15-20 kV m-1 in the atmosphere of a thunderstorm. The response is as high as 1.5% for recorded particles with energies lower than 10 GeV.
