Реферат: For cultivation of new common wheat cultivars having valuable morphological traits new resource-saving ridge technology was applied. Our collection of dwarf lines, obtained in the result of cyclical diallel crossings of genotrophs, induced by pyridine carbonic acids, zoned common wheat cultivars and short stem common wheat samples from the World Wide Collection of the Russian Institute of Plant Industry, was applied for creation of new common wheat lines having valuable morphological traits. It was observed that open blooming dwarfs were good for cross-pollination, and without insulation they demonstrated a great issue of natural hybrids. It was marked that cross-pollination promoted appearance of great number of hybrid plants with high productive tillering capacity. After individual selection among those hybrid plants and their propagation we got fertile constant lines of common winter wheat having 17-20 productive stems per one plant and a productive ear. These lines are firm and resistant to lodging. At the present time these constant lines are cultivated in conditions of resource-saving ridge technology.

Реферат: The study of PCR-profiles of isozyme loci Me1 and Adh1 in common wheat lines obtained by means of treatment of initial cultivar Alem with detergent Triton X-100 was carried out by the modified ISSR- amplification method. It was demonstrated that exposure to Triton X-100 causes changes of PCR-profiles of enzyme loci. The obtained data are suggestive of the role of chromatin and nuclear membrane interaction in structural-functional genome organization.

Obsolete Pesticides and Phytoremediation of Polluted Soil in Kazakhstan

Реферат: In Kazakhstan, there are obsolete pesticides which should be buried in special dedicated and prepared burial sites or neutralized for minimization of dangerous genetic and ecological risks. The work in two years was identifying the obsolete pesticides in 91 the former warehouses of chemical plant protection products. In two regions (Almaty and Akmola regions) of Kazakhstan, the total amount of 388.6 tones of obsolete pesticides and unidentified stockpile material was observed, along with 513 pesticide containers. Results of the study have shown that soil around storehouses polluted by organochlorine pesticides residues in soil included metabolites of DDT and HCH. The results have shown that selected wild species plants demonstrated ability to phytoaccumulation of organochlorine metabolites and reduction of pesticide concentrations in soil (control without plants). It was shown that accumulation of pesticides depended on the species of plants, plant biomass and pesticide concentrations in soil. The use of mineral fertilizers resulted in stimulation of growth and biomass accumulation followed by an increase phytoextraction.

Реферат: Ug99 is a race of stem rust that is virulent to the majority of wheat varieties. To develop disease-free germplasm, wheat material was screened using the predominant stem rust races of Kazakhstan and tested in two nurseries; CIMMYT-Turkey and the Plant Breeding Station at Njoro, Kenya. A total of 11 pathotypes of P. graminis f. sp. tritici were identified in Kazakhstan from the stem rust samples collected in 2008-2009. Of the 170 advanced lines of wheat, 22 lines resistant to 5 aggressive Kazakhstani pathotypes of P. graminis were identified. A high level of resistance was observed in 11 wheat cultivars and advanced lines: \'Taza\', E-19, E-99, E-102, E-572, E-796, E-809 (Kazakhstan), \'Ekinchi\' (Azerbaijan), \'Dostlik\', \'Ulugbek 600\' (Uzbekistan) and \'Umanka\' (Russia). Based on data obtained from Turkey-CIMMYT and the Plant Breeding Station Njoro, Kenya nurseries, out of 13 tested entries, 6 wheat breeding lines which were resistant to both stem and yellow rust and 10 wheat lines which showed high and moderate levels of resistance to Ug99 were selected. Multiple allelism in the vrn-b1 locus of common wheat

Реферат: Two inter varietal substitution lines of common wheat cv. Sava bearing chromosome 5B from Saratovskaya 29 and Diamant 2 donors and two near-isogenic lines (NILs) of winter cv. Bezostaya 1 with the Vrn-B1 locus from the same donors were developed. Multiple allelism of the dominant Vrn-B1 locus was studied in these lines. It manifested itself as earing time variation in plants grown near Novosibirsk (West Siberia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), and in a greenhouse. One dominant allele, Vrn-B1S? having a stronger effect on earing time, was detected in Saratovskaya 29 and another, Vrn-B1Dm, in Diamant 2. The NILs and substitution lines are late-ripening. Lines with Vrn-B1S come to earing earlier than with Vrn-B1Dm.
Орлан-белохвост в дельте реки Иле и на озере Балхаш, Юго-Восточный Казахстан
Реферат: Оригинальные материалы мониторинговых наблюдений 1984-2010 гг. в дельте реки Иле и на озере Балхаш (Юго-Восточный Кахахстан). Отмечено увеличение численности орлана-белохвоста (Haliaeetus albicilla) - с 26 до 50 гнездящихся пар на площади 8 тыс. км, вероятно, в результате прекращения его истребления. Подробные сведения о необычном типе гнездования - восьми случаях расположения гнезд в зарослях тростника (Phragmites communis) в нижней и средней частях дельты, где характерен дефицит высокоствольных деревьев. При благоприятных кормовых и защитных условиях орлан-белохвост способен проявлять гнездостроительную пластичность, используя заломы тростника в качестве субстрата, а его стебли и листья - для строительства гнезда. Критический анализ литературных сведений и собственные наблюдения позволяют утверждать, что для дельты реки Иле отсутствуют достоверные сведения о гнездовании орлана-долгохвоста (Haliaeetus leucoryphus).
